FAQ - Questions regarding the services

Proxy types

What proxy types does Proxygutu have?
We provide datacenter and residential-based proxies, as well as mobile services.
What are residential proxies?
Residential proxies are IP addresses provided by real devices (like smartphones or computers) connected to a home internet network. They act as intermediaries, masking your real IP address and routing your internet traffic through a third-party network. These proxies are harder to detect and block compared to data center proxies because they appear to come from regular users.
What are mobile proxies?
Mobile proxies are a type of proxy that routes internet traffic through mobile devices, typically using 4G or 5G connections. They provide IP addresses associated with mobile networks, making them harder to detect compared to regular residential proxies. These proxies are often used for tasks like web scraping, managing multiple social media accounts, or bypassing geo-restrictions.
What are datacenter proxies?
Datacenter proxies are IP addresses that come from data centers, not real devices or mobile networks. They are typically faster and cheaper than residential or mobile proxies but are easier to detect because they don’t belong to real users. These proxies are commonly used for tasks like web scraping, automation, and bypassing geo-blocks, though they’re more likely to get flagged by websites.

IP addresses

How is the services price justified?
ProxyGuru owns the hardware and/or networks necessary for providing the service directly or through different subcontractors. This allows us to provide the most reliable and secure services without any third party intervention. However this means that sertain services cannot achieve the lowest possible price for end users.
Is it possible to pay for a proxy where each thread is a new IP address?
Yes. In order to do that you'd have to order multiple proxy slots.
Do you provide static IPs?
Yes. Non-shared proxy slots provide static IP addresses in Datacenter and Resitendial networks.
How long does a proxy remain operational?
As long as you keep using it. Unpaid invoices don't cause proxy slots to be deleted, therefore an IP address will remain assigned to you as long as your account remains active.
Do you provide real-peer proxy IP addresses?
This service is only available in the Mobile network.

Proxy features

What do I do if proxy uptime is low?
Please let us know by contacting the support. In the meantime you can also request proxy slot replacement.
How many users can operate a single proxy port?
It depends on the current proxy slot plan. Please consult with the plan details.
What is a proxy server’s “uptime”?
A proxy server’s "uptime" refers to the amount of time the server is continuously running and available without any interruptions or downtime. It’s usually measured as a percentage, with higher uptime indicating more reliable service. For example, 99.9% uptime means the server is expected to be down for no more than a few hours per year. High uptime is crucial for ensuring consistent access and performance for users relying on the proxy.
How frequently can I change the IP?
Usually it's about 10 times a day but that also depends on your account status. Log into the dashboard to learn more.
How many concurrent connections can a port handle?
The default connection number is 256 for all users. Depending on the plan and account status that number may differ.
What protocols do Proxyguru proxies support?
As of September 2025 we support SOCKS5 and HTTP proxies. More protocols are coming soon.
What should I do to create a proxy list?
To create a proxy list use the bulk export feature of the dashboard.
Where can I see the total amount of proxies I’m going to buy?
Every order confirmation page shows the exact proxy slot number and the total price.
How to change a login or a password?
Login credentials can be changed via the account management section in the dashboard.
How can I access my geo targeted proxies?
Proxy locations are displayed alongside other properties in the proxy list.
